Penn and Teller's "Bullshit"

Jeez. Just watched a "Bullshit" episode about the dangers of modern cheerleading. One girl went for a tryout and broke her neck. They didn't use a spotter because you can't get points if you have one.

Some advocates want cheering to be OFFICIALLY named a sport so states will run it and impose standards. Apparently one company sells most of the uniforms and trains many "safety" instructors. They train for 3 hours and take an open-book test!

It had me crying because the girl who broke her neck and is paralyzed still loves cheering but tells girls to make sure there are safety procedures in place. The last shot was of her father saying, "It was a bad day," crying, and waving away the camera.

My eyes welled up two or three times during that show.
