Sometimes when you find yourself in the midst of a pointless exchange with a person who is easily offended and seems to misinterpret everything you say, you just have to let the other person have the last word, think they "won", and go find something enjoyable to do. I know there are lots of people who find it hard to let others have the last word, particularly when they think others are wrong. (I have seen people argue for HOURS about nothing simply because each person felt the need to "win" or have the last word.) But sometimes you just have to. Pick your debates wisely and remember most of the things that upset us are monumentally unimportant in the long run. Refusing to let your time be wasted by trivial disagreements is a wise policy I think.
Life is good. Don't let others ruin it for you. If you think life is bad, don't let others make it worse.
