Time magazine named Watchmen one of the Top 100 Novels of the Twentieth Century - not graphic novels but one of the Top 100 works of fiction of the last hundred years. There was no way the movie could have pleased all of the legions of fans who consider the Watchmen comic a masterpiece but Snyder's effort was grim, gruesome, and engrossing.(Some of the sex and violence in the Director's Cut were a bit much for me though.)Illustration is Copyright (c) D.
