From bliss to bummer to blessing.

I was excited Friday night because a patient Verizon tech helped me fix my new cellphone so it can be used an an mp3 player. I listen to a Walkman radio as I work but sometimes get tired of sports and political talk shows. So being able to listen to my CDs and mp3s over my phone was going to be a treat.

Then about ten minutes after the phone was fixed, I turned on my Walkman and it wouldn't work! (Part of me wonders if the second we fixed the cellphone, the radio conked out. When karma comes calling, it can be comical.) I get tired of chat shows but I didn't want to stop listening to them. I was pretty depressed because business is very slow and I shouldn't be spending money on a new radio right now, even though they don't cost that much. Yesterday I even tried buying a cheap one but the reception was so bad I returned it ten minutes after I bought it!

Then I remembered my favorite host lets you download mp3s of his shows for $6 a month. Great! I signed up for that and am glad I did because now I can listen to him when I want and not have to be worry about reception or muddy sound caused by technical problems.

Groovy!
