Another of the great eccentric characters Johnny Depp played as he tried to get rid of the "pretty boy" image he was given after appearing in the TV show "21 Jump Street."Some say this is a bit empty. So what? Do all movies have to be perceptive commentaries on the human condition? (Besides, this may also be one!) What's wrong with a movie that's just fun and colorful?
An elderly inventor tries to create a boy but dies before he can complete his task. Is the boy complete? Can he survive in a world of the "normal"?
I bought this about 5 years ago and I'm glad I did. I'd forgotten how good it is.
